Site Characterization  

Site characterization identifies the subsurface conditions needed to satisfy mine site design and construction standards but operators face huge challenges when there is no or low-quality data.  

MUD® SAR penetrates the proposed site surface and underwater, to depths of 100m and with 0.2m resolution models, details non-apparent subsurface geology, construction berms, water tables, soil saturation, bedrock layers, and man-made structures. 

 

With new subsurface intelligence and a historical baseline, operators can compare and select sites to design facilities that are amenable to safe and sustainable operations.
